Another crash of thunder sounded in the background of the room and lightning lit up the dark sky. Rex had pretty much taken cover in the corner of his room with his knees hugged to his chest. As luck would have it, the room was dark so no one would be able to tell he was there.
He had no control over weather or not he became a six year old again, it just happened when he got nervous or scared. And these storms always scared him.
He just wanted it to be over. But the storm had lasted almost all day, but the thunder and lightning came later.
Rex shivered and covered his ears hoping to drown out the sound

Caesar was in the boy's dormatories checking up on the students. It was a part of normal procedure during the power outage. He was also incharge of getting the electricity working again. He was nervous about checking out this one student, the drangle. He slowly knocked upon the drangle's door.

Rex looked up at the door nervously. He didn't want anyone to see him like this. Especially not a teacher and especially not Six. He stared it for awhile longer until another boom of thunder caused him to whimper and cover his ears again. Actually to be fair, it was more like a tiny scared scream than anything.

Caesar heard small child-like noices comming from the room. He pulled out his keys and unlocked the door. Slowly opening the door he asked. "Are you okay in here?" He began to look around and saw a childlike figure in the dark. He just stood there, hoping to get an answer.

Rex shook his head. "N-no." he whimpered as another flash of lightning came through the room. He wouldn't cry. He wouldn't cry not in front of anyone. "N-no i'm not okay..." he whimpered. "I'm scared." did he just admit that? Probably. He didn't care. His six year old sense took over and in his eyes he would tell someone he could trust

Caesar heard a voice. It sounded familiar, like hell it sounded familiar. Everyday he was haunted by the memories of his family, so of course it was familiar. He started walking over to the figure in the dark. He dropped his flashlight suddenly when he saw the boy. A exact duplicate of... "Santo." he said. The shock of seeing this little kid changed caused him to shift into his unicorn form, not exactly the best form for comforting a little kid, but he couldn't control it. "Scared of the lightning?" he said trying to act all natural. He didn't want to scare the boy anymore than he probably was and what just happened was sure not to help anyways.

The boy nodded. he still didn't look up all the way, just stared at the ground. "I...I hate it.." he said. "Every...everytime i hear or see it, i get these flashes in my mind I don't know what they are. It's loud and scary." he hugged his knees. "You must think I'm a coward."

"No I don't. Every bodies afraid of something. It takes a brave being to admit that he's afraid." said Caesar gently. He gave the boy a calm smile. He looked at the boy. A question began to stir in his mind. "What do you see in these flashes?"

Rex's hands were shaking and he held them close together. "I just see flashes of people smiling at me, i don't know who they are. And then suddenly everything goes black and then it comes back and they are all dead on the floor. I hate it.." the glasses on Rex's head started to slip off and fell to his chin.

Caesar looked at Rex for a moment or two. This was painful. He had to move forward. Those flashes sounded familiar to him too familiar. "What did these people look like?" he said he shouldn't of asked the little terrified boy this, but he had to.

"I don't know, there's a woman, with black hair...she has glasses." the boy said straining to remember. "Another is a man, i don't remember what he looks like...then there's...a boy maybe around 12 or older he kind of looks like Professor Casear."

Hearing this. "Santo." said the lavender unicorn. He found himself with tears in his eyes. "I am Professor Caesar." he said with tears. He wished he had control of his shifting. He wished this curse didn't happen. He wished that everything he remembered that was bad never happened. "The woman you see I see as well and she did exist, as well as a little one exactly like you and a little girl identicle. Rex." He dreaded saying that name, it brought back pain.

Rex shook his head. "I don't see anyone else, just those three." then he realized what the unicorn had said and looked up, it was hard to see in the dark but he could see the unicorn well enough. It was very confusing to him. "I don't understand..." another boom of thunder caused Rex to cover his ears again.

Rex looked up with a tiny nod. Maybe this would be a way to find a distraction from the storm and the thought that entered his mind every time he came by.
