Chapter 1
In a secret lab in Balkov Abbey located in Russia. A seven year old boy walked the dark hallways alone. He had a black sleeveless shirt and blue jeans. He had bushy blue hair and grey eyes. His face had a neutral look with blue paint marks on his cheeks. His name Kai Hiwatari grandson of Voltaire Hiwatari owner and leader of Hiwatari Enterprise. Kai continued to walk down the hallway until he found the black door he was looking for. He opened it and walked into a lounge.
On the walls were deep dark red colors. There were chairs, a couch, and some food and drink machines in there. Though he was not alone in the room. There was a boy with red hair like fire. He had emerald green eyes and the same clothes as Kai. Instead of black he had a blue shirt. Instead of blue jeans he had black. He looked to be at least three years older than Kai. He looked up at Kai with a small smile on his face. He said, “Hey Kai, finish another mission?” Kai had his neutral look as he sat across from the boy. The red haired boy laughed a little and shook his head. “Still the same old Kai never responding quickly.”
Kai snorted as he looked at the boy. “You’re one to talk Maxwell. You weren’t there with me on the mission.” Maxwell was a son of one of Kai’s grandfathers’ workers. Maxwell was placed with Kai to be sure the missions were complete. Though Kai didn’t say anything about it Maxwell was a good friend to him.
Maxwell laughed and shook his head. He looked at Kai with a smile. “Well I stopped going because I know you would complete the mission. Besides you said it yourself once. ‘I can complete most of these missions in my own.’ Didn’t you say that?” Kai rolled his eyes and shook his head.
Soon a bald man with sun glasses in a black suit came inside and looked at Kai and Maxwell. The man cleared his throat to gain their attention. Kai and Maxwell turned around and looked at the man. The bald man looked to Kai as he spoke with a monotone voice. “Your grandfather will expect you for dinner tonight.” Kai didn’t show any emotion to that statement. Even though they were related Voltaire and Kai rarely ate together.
He nodded to the bald man with his neutral look. “Understood.” The man nodded back and left the room. Maxwell looked at Kai with a small surprised look.
He asked Kai, “Aren’t you the least bit curious of why your old man invited you to dinner?” Kai shook his head and looked at Maxwell.
He said, “No. It is either will be a mission briefing or something else. It’s rare that it’s something else. I’ll find out tonight.” Kai stood up and walked toward the door. He glanced at Maxwell for a brief moment and said, “See you later.”
Maxwell smiled and nodded at Kai. “Yeah see you later.” Kai walked out and closed the door leaving to prepare for dinner with his grandfather.
